Audemars Piguet x Swatch Royal Pop OCHO NEGRO

Audemars Piguet x Swatch Royal Pop OCHO NEGRO, reference SSX03W101N, is a mechanical pocket watch from the Bioceramic Royal Pop collection built around a black-and-white contrast. The black case and dial are paired with a white octagonal bezel and eight black hexagonal screws, creating one of the series’ most essential color combinations.

The model uses a manual-winding mechanical SISTEM51 movement in Lépine configuration, with the crown positioned at 12 o’clock. Its modular system allows it to be used as a pocket watch, worn around the neck with the included cord or paired with compatible Royal Pop accessories.

Black tapisserie-effect dial and white bezel

The black tapisserie-effect dial features the collection’s signature geometric texture and is completed by Grade A Super-LumiNova® indices and hands with blue emission.

The octagonal bezel is made from white Bioceramic with a vertical satin finish. Eight black hexagonal screws follow the bezel perimeter, echoing the color of the case, dial and crown.

The dial is protected by sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, while the sharp contrast between black and white surfaces defines OCHO NEGRO within the Royal Pop line.

Manual SISTEM51 in Lépine configuration

OCHO NEGRO uses a manual-winding version of the mechanical SISTEM51 movement. The Lépine configuration places the crown at 12 o’clock and keeps the dial dedicated to hours and minutes.

The movement offers a power reserve of approximately 90 hours and uses an anti-magnetic Nivachron™ balance spring. Precision is adjusted at the factory using laser technology.

The transparent sapphire caseback reveals part of the movement and features Pop Art-inspired decoration. The mainspring barrel remains visible, also allowing the state of the power reserve to be observed.

Black Bioceramic and leather cord

The case measures 40 mm in diameter without the clip and 8.4 mm thick. It is made from Swatch Bioceramic, a composite material consisting of two-thirds ceramic and one-third bio-sourced material derived from castor oil.

OCHO NEGRO comes with a black calfskin cord with contrasting white stitching. The Bioceramic attachment system allows it to be removed and replaced, preserving the modular construction of the Royal Pop line.
